The other thing I have learnt in life is normally where there is smoke, there is fire. I have little doubt that he was not driving to the law, nor in a manner that was unlikely to draw attention to himself. I highly doubt the cop went to the effort of finding the car and laying charges on the grounds of not liking the colour or having something against Lambo's.
Without further, more reliable information I would suggest the magistrate's decision is not a finding of innocence as much as it is a finding of unable to prove guilt.
