Sounds good mate.

Let me know if you do go ahead with the alloy spacers, I'll pick one up for sure.

The prices for a spacer from the uk are ridiculous. I too was thinking to make my own but was trying to find a suitable material, never thought of a chopping board.

While you were there did you find a way to run a larger diameter intake pipe to the standard airbox? I haven't had mine apart yet, but would like to retain the standard airbox if possible without going the full CAI route.

I know BMC make just the carbon reinforced intake extension pipe (flexible) with a bell end to place in the grille or air-dam, I was thinking of mating one of these to the stock airbox?
